Islam is a complete and perfect code of life. There are rules and regulations for every aspect of life in Islam. Especially the rule of wergild or blood money (Diyya) is a distinguishing characteristic of Islam. The current study was designed with the primary objective to compare the Jurisprudence of Imam Jafar Sadiq (That is called FiqhJafari). and Jurisprudence of Imam Abu Hanifa (That is called Fiqh Hanafi) The study explored that there are more commonalities between both Jurisprudences as compared to differences. The study found differences in unintentional killing blood money (عمد شبہ دیۃ) and collective oath قسامہ)۔) According to Jurisprudence of Imam Abu Hanifa the bloody relatives of killer have to pay the blood money in unintentional killing whereas in the Jurisprudence of Imam Jafar Sadiq the killer himself or herself has to pay the blood money in unintentional killing. In addition, in the Jurisprudence of Imam Abu Hanifa, the defendant has to take collective oath while in the Jurisprudence of Imam Jafar Sadiq the alleger has to take collective oath in case of allegation.
