    The Uswa Journal of Research upholds the intellectual property rights of its contributors. Authors retain full copyright of their manuscripts while granting the journal the right of first publication and a non-exclusive license to publish, distribute, and archive their work in print and digital formats.
    This publishing arrangement ensures that the journal holds the necessary rights to disseminate scholarly content while authors maintain legal ownership of their intellectual work.

  2. Licensing Terms
    All articles published in the Uswa Journal of Research are licensed under the:
    Creative Commons Attribution – ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0)
    This license permits:

    • Sharing – copying and redistributing the material in any medium or format
    • Adaptation – remixing, transforming, and building upon the material
    • Commercial and non-commercial use, without restriction

    Provided that:

    1. Proper attribution is given to the author and the journal.
    2. Any adaptations or derivative works are distributed under the same CC BY-SA 4.0 license.

  3. Author Rights
    Authors publishing with the Uswa Journal of Research enjoy the following rights:
    a. Copyright Retention
    Authors retain exclusive copyright of their work. The journal obtains only the rights necessary for publication and dissemination.
    b. Non-Exclusive Redistribution Rights
    Authors may enter additional agreements for non-exclusive distribution of the published version of their work such as uploading to institutional repositories, including in edited volumes, or sharing on academic platforms provided that the initial publication in this journal is duly acknowledged.
    c. Self-Archiving and Online Posting
    The journal encourages authors to make their work available online before submission, during review, and after publication. Depositing pre-prints, post-prints, or the final published version promotes wider visibility, early engagement, and increased citation potential.
  4. Use of Third-Party or Restricted Material
    If an article includes material not covered by the CC BY-SA 4.0 license (e.g., copyrighted images, figures, or extended quotations):

    • Authors must obtain permission from the copyright holder when required.
    • All such material must be clearly identified and properly attributed.
    • The article must explicitly indicate that this content is excluded from the article’s Creative Commons license.

    This ensures legal clarity and full transparency for readers and secondary users.

    The Uswa Journal of Research is fully committed to open access principles.
    The journal ensures:

    • Immediate and free access to all published scholarly content
    • No subscription barriers or paywalls
    • Transparent and consistent licensing practices
    • Alignment with DOAJ’s open access and ethical guidelines
    • Rejection of hybrid publishing models and “all rights reserved” restrictions for open access articles

  6. Ethical and Legal Transparency

    • Authors are responsible for the originality of their submissions.
